On 8 June 2026, LEO participated to the first Mini-Workshop on Advanced NanoBiomaterials hosted by the Life Science Department of UNIMORE organized by Prof Michele Bianchi from the Advanced Biomaterials lab and Prof. Fabio Biscarini.

During the event Prof. Luisa De Cola delivered an inspiring keynote on hybrid materials and biomimetic systems, while Prof. Silvia Panseri shared exciting perspectives on multi-stimuli responsive and biomimetic interfaces for regenerative therapies and advanced in vitro models.

The contributions from the Unimore speakers further highlighted the breadth and potential of the nano-biomaterials field, stimulating new ideas and connections across complementary disciplines.

During the event, Dr. Matteo Sensi from LEO gave a talk entitled: “Electrolyte-Gated Transistors Featuring Functional Bio-Interfaces for Health and Food Sensing”

The afternoon meeting was highly productive and helped lay the foundations for new collaborations and initiatives that we are excited to develop further in the coming months.
